V/M – Hateful Abandon’s Guitar, Bass, Voice, Words, Assembly, and Tone has started a personal site. The address is vastere.blogspot.com, and will contain personal and Hateful Abandon related information. We will also re-publish material here when possible and allowed. Here is an early Hateful Abandon related post, looking back at Famine a year or so after release and talking about future plans for 2010 and beyond. My band HATEFUL ABANDON, life, music and other Hateful Abandon are my favourite band. Not that I have a huge ego, or because I have a messiah complex (although I do), or even that I think we are better than anyone else, but because of the possibility of what comes next. We can do anything with HA, something I’ve said before ad infinitum, but so what? It’s a huge deal to me to have the freedom that we’ve blessed with to shape my thoughts and ideas. You’re... Salute will headline a Free gig – February 13th at the Old Blue Last (Shoreditch, London). Live support comes from Old Mayor (doom metal). In addition to live performances there will be several deejay sets including one, of exquisite taste (see podcasts for proof), from Hateful Abandon. I need as many HA fans a possible at this, otherwise I’m going to get bottled off when Bowie, Joy Div. and Swans get played. See you there. V/M

Visit the Hateful Abandon myspace page now to listen to Human Clockwork and get an idea how the material is progressing for the next album! LYRICS White knuckle tension Falling in time with heartbeats Exposed flesh, burning pulse Racing iris, back and forth Jaw clench, tendon snap Rotten harvest Bleak teardrop, clay heart Blood struggles, man-made vein I can’t force what isn’t there I can’t pretend any more Any more.

Hateful Abandon will return to The Compound to continue recording material for the next album on October 16 2009, including an adaptation of Cold Blessed from the Abandon ep Never-ending Black Torrent of Death. Swine has posted an update at the official myspace page talking about the next record and the recording approach: …. UPDATE FROM THE COMPOUND… During this year we’ve been recording new tracks for the next H.A album. Originally we wanted to get it out this year but as everyone knows every year that goes past, go past like a fuckin hell-bullet train.. SHIT! Anyway the songs we have, the completed ones, are much darker than previous, and all songs will continue that way… probably. Most importantly we’re gonna spend more time on production this time, and because of this a finish date is yet to even be considered. The last album smokes and i’m CRAZILY... Post Continued Here

Hateful Abandon New Songs Recorded including Cabaret Voltaire Cover
Posted June 4, 2009 by Todestrieb Records
Filed under Hateful Abandon news
This week Hateful Abandon returned to the Compound and finished two songs for their second album, Next Question: Spies in the Wires is a Cabaret Voltaire cover, taken from their 1984 album Micro Phonies. The song has been re-imagined, transformed with Hateful Abandon’s unique sound. Like other successful covers, HA has respectfully integrated an original and made it their own. Copper Foundation began to take shape at the end of 2008, this latest session completed vocals and some extra guitar. Both songs can be heard in full on the official myspace page. Both are also unmixed, unfinished and to be considered early demos for the next album, not realistically expected until 2010. We also through a quick video together.

In my boredom and as I’m a music FANATIC and in the spirit of a lot of ‘top 10 albums of 2008′, I thought I’d share 10 fantastic albums with you. Now these aren’t my favourite records of all time, just what I’m listening to over and over again at the moment and in some cases, for a long time. KILLING JOKE – ‘Brighter Than a Thousand Suns.’ One of the only albums to make me dance. Jesus, I’d give my right bollock to hear a new album with as many hooks as this today. Written off by many as one of the Joke’s weaker albums because of the 100% proof pop megaton BOMBS this album sweats out like ducklings. Sod ‘em I say…stick this on and dance to your day job. Possibly my choice album from my very favourite band. RED LORRY YELLOW LORRY – ‘The Very Best Of…’ “You can’t put a ‘Best of…’... Post Continued Here

A series of quick updates: The latest Hateful Abandon recording session was so much of a success that A Captives Keen Teeth has been removed from consideration for the next album. V/M assures us the new material surpasses it. Three tracks are near complete and should be available to preview in the next month or so. Visit the official myspace page to read the lyrics for two of these. Ghast have several new concerts scheduled, and the recent Bristol gig was an unexpected epic – after all three support acts pulled out, Ghast stepped up and played an hour long set, opening with a Bethlehem cover/jam!! Keep up-to-date on the official site and the official myspace. Fursy has added a couple of songs (not final) which will eventually be released as a studio-recorded debut album. There will be a big announcement relating to Les Discrets soon. Sadly, not for us; but we will have some great, relevant,... Post Continued Here
