SCYTHIAN burial mound discovered in Kharkiv

I dwell without end or remembrance,
Until…

Archaeologists in Kharkiv recently discovered the regions largest Scythian burial mound in Большая Даниловка. The mound contained 4th & 5th Century BC tombs and two bodies (interpreted by teeth): male 30-33 and female 15-16 years old. Other objects found include animal bones, arrowheads and pottery fragments. Due to the size of the mound (7 metres tall, 40 metre diameter) it is assumed to be the final resting place of an elite figure. The work took 27 days and findings will eventually be sent to the Kharkiv Historical Museum.

In the distro: we have both SCYTHIAN albums on CD in stock. Follow the band here for updates on their UK, US and more gigs later this year
